Made General Tao Chicken for the first time! It’s so much fun trying new recipe and I was oober excited to try this one because it was one of those dishes we only ate at a Chinese restaurant.

The only thing he doesn’t mention is to add red chilli peppers but I didn’t add those anyway since the kids don’t like spicy dishes.
Mine didn’t turn out as crunchy as the restaurant version – probably because I didn’t deep fry the chicken to death and maybe because it was lightly coated in flour vs. it being mostly flour when you eat it at a restaurant.
*If you do want to have it crunchy like the restaurant, I was told to double batter it – so dip in egg then flour then dip in egg then flour again!
